Parents and players:
From today until Friday, July 6th 2012, we will be giving all DHC players a chance to become a member of the 15,000 puck club.
Each player that is shooting pucks must do the following requirements:
5,000 wrist shots, 5,000 backhands and 5,000 slapshots for a total of 15,000 pucks shot.
Each player should get a notebook to keep track of what shot they worked on and how many of each shot was taken on each day. When they have completed their 15,000, they should turn in their notebooks to me and they will then become part of the 15,000 Puck Club. It is crucial that every player is shooting every shot the correct way. If they aren’t shooting each shot correctly, they are wasting their time.
Some benefits of becoming part of the 15,000 puck club are: you will become stronger and it will make you a better shooter, you will have three different shots to use, you will become a better passer because a pass is just a modified shot and you can have ownership in working towards a goal and reaching it.
When the player has completed their 15,000 pucks they will: receive a 15,000 Puck Club long sleeve shirt with their last name and number on the back and will also be in drawings for a pair of Bauer skates ($300 value), a one piece stick ($200 value), a set of Bauer gloves (2) ($90 value per pair).
The drawings are exclusively for 15,000 Puck Club members only and a player can only win one item. Please also talk to your player about the honesty policy. It is not fair if a player lies about completing the 15,000 pucks and is in the drawings for the items and could possibly win an item. The drawings for the items will be sometime during the week after of July 9th – 13th, player does not need to be present to win. If you are interested in getting a net, a tarp (similar to the one I have in the shooting cage but 1/3 of the size) and pucks, let me know ASAP.
